After our morning routine of chores and bible, we continued in creating our creation books.
We colored......
We cut......
Then moved on to handwriting. We found these excellent handwriting books from Mead with guides. Grooves that the kids can follow? Awesome!
For snack - Well he created the creatures of the Earth. Since we've been snacking healthy, I made pudding cups with gluten free cookies crumbled on top and gummi worms in the middle. Yummy!
Once watered, our newly formed worms should be turning into caterpillars in the next few days! Another great science activity provided by Glimpses of God.
Our next science experiment was 5 fold ~ Learning about how amazingly God created our body with the 5 senses.
Sight. Do you see where the water and light hit and refract to distort how the straw looks?
Sound. Tapping glasses with varying amounts of water in each.
Touch. Hot, cold and warm.
Smell - Well....that was a surprise. The kids helped bake these gluten free cookies earlier in the afternoon and they could smell them cooking.
Taste. Well....isn't it obvious?
Very fun and busy day that didn't end until 5:30 p.m.
UPDATE -
Also.....when we learned about Day 3 - we planted kidney beans in a plastic bag with a wet napkin and hung it in our back window. Here they are only 6 days later - WOW! They have leaves!!! They will be planted in the next two days!
